Bitcoin (BTC)

It is the first digital asset developed by an anonymous developer named Satoshi Nakamoto based on blockchain technology. According to the paper, Bitcoin is issued by algorithms without intervention from the government, central banks, and financial institutions, and transaction details are verified and managed by users participating in peer to peer (P2P) networks. Thanks to its excellent security and limited issuance volume, it has established itself as a representative digital asset in Gaza.

Characteristics

Forging and falsifying transaction details in the Bitcoin network requires securing more than half of all network participants, and securing this huge computing power is virtually impossible and has high security.
Bitcoin proves the validity of the transmission in a Proof of Work (PoW) scheme, which performs a SHA-256 hash algorithm operation. As a reward for this verification operation, a certain reward is given to miners in Bitcoin, and this guarantee is designed to decrease every four years, making it impossible to issue more than 21 million copies in the long run.

Bitcoin, which continues to expand its influence, is recognized as a means of storing value and an inflation hedging tool even in the traditional financial sector. The possibility of blockchain technology that Bitcoin has shown and the new ecosystem it has formed are expected to bring about a huge transformation in the digital world.
